Tara has been with the business since 2022. She has worked in many different areas of healthcare but has a passion for dentistry. Tara qualified as a dental nurse in 2014 and has progressed through many stages of a practice resulting in management. She takes pride in promoting great teamwork and patient care.
Kat Heidstra
Assistant Manager

Kat joined Pocklington Dental in August 2023 and she is looking forward to driving the team forward and getting the best results. Kat supports Tara in the day to day running of the practice, she loves meeting new people and really cares that the journey for the patient is the best that it can be.
Kat loves walking her beautiful German Shepherd Freya and going to roller discos with her husband and step children.

Dr Jonathan Glassby

Jonathan qualified in 2014 at Peninsular Dental School, he is friendly, approachable and down to earth. Since qualifying has expanded his dental skills into dental implants and has also gained a Certificate in Dental Implantology. After completing the intensive one-year British Academy of Implant & Restorative Dentistry course in 2016, he has dedicated his clinical practice on the provision of dental implants. Jonathan treats all types of implant cases within the practice and also accepts referrals from neighbouring practices requiring his services. As a result of his passion and commitment to offering his patients the highest standard of care, Jonathan regularly attends courses and post-graduate training in all aspects of dental implants. His hunger to further his knowledge and skillset has allowed him to treat patients requiring complex treatments, including multiple implant placements, bone grafting, sinus lifts and soft-tissue management. Outside of dentistry Jonathan enjoys travelling and exploring new places, he finds himself on yearly ski trips with his family and friends.
Dr Rosen Ampirski

After qualifying in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2011, Rosen has been working as a general dentist, except for one year, which he spent working in a hospital. He is passionate about his work and helps people to overcome dental fears. Rosens main area of interest is restorative dentistry and he is dedicated to helping patients smile again confidently.
Dr Harminder Kaur BDS(Hons)

Harminder qualified from the University of Birmingham with a BDS Honours degree, and has since built an abundance of experience and further knowledge, completing part one of the MFDS RCS(Ed) exam and attending courses, keeping her skills up to date providing treatment with the latest techniques and equipment. Dr Kaur enjoys providing general dentistry and working with anxious patients putting them at ease and providing patients with a pleasant and relaxed dental visit. While working at Pocklington dental, Dr Kaur is also currently undertaking a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry in London, to provide a unique service to all of her patients and aims to cater to all their individual needs. In her spare time Harminder enjoys keeping healthy in the gym and loves travelling around the world experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. Dr Kaur looks forward to welcoming you to the dental practice!
Dr Fiona Steels

After qualifying from Manchester university in 1999 Fiona soon set up her own family practice. After growing the practice locally for a decade she decided to sell the practice and focus on her own young family whilst still working part time looking after her patients. Now Fiona’s family are grown up she’s finally got the time to spend more time on looking after patients old and new, whilst also spending time out in nature with the dogs or enjoying the garden or making craft candles, with a nice glass of red!

Dr Abigail Chapman BDS MFDS

Hailing from Wetherby, West Yorkshire, Abi attended school in Harrogate, before heading to the North East to begin her dental training. She graduated from Newcastle University in 2016, where she discovered a love for cosmetic dentistry and endodontics (root canal therapy). She won the Proctor Prize for Clinical Skills during her time at Newcastle.
Abi completed her vocational training (VT) year in Hull city centre, and developed many skills such as oral surgery (extracting teeth) and managing nervous patients. She stayed on as an associate where she enjoyed working for a further 2 years. She has completed both parts of the MFDS examination with the Royal College of Surgeons, and intends to complete further training in endodontics and facial aesthetics.
Since 2019, Abi has worked in a mixed practice in Beverley, and is a keen user of digital dentistry to help deliver state of the art care to her patients. She enjoys providing a variety of restorations which mimic natural teeth as closely as possible.
Outside of work, Abi loves skiing, travelling to sunnier destinations and playing football for Beverley Town Ladies FC. On a weekend you will find Abi trying out new recipes in the kitchen or hiking in the Yorkshire Wolds.

Ellie Fox

Ellie had worked as a Dental Nurse for many years before deciding to undertake further clinical training at Teesside University to become a Dental Therapist. Dental therapists are highly trained to provide preventive care and advice, in addition to a wide range of clinical treatments. Ellie has a particular interest in treating patients with a caring approach. Her skills will be used to provide a range of services to help improve people’s oral health.

Emma newly joined the team in November 2023. She graduated from Newcastle University with Bachelor of Science in Oral and Dental Science. Her goal is to equip patients with the best clinical advice to obtain oral health. She can provide a wide range of dental treatments including gum treatment and fillings. Emma was born and raised in Yorkshire. Her interests include travelling and musicals. She is huge animal lover and her spare time is spent going on walk adventures with her Border Collie sidekick Sam.

Frans passion is to make the patient feel at ease when they come to their appointment and makes sure their experience is the best it can be. In her spare time Fran likes to socialise and shop with friends and also likes to walk her little dog Ginny.

Courtney joined us February 2024 as a trainee dental nurse, she is looking forward to getting stuck in and getting to know the role of a dental nurse. Courtney is really looking forward to qualifying over the next few years and gaining experience and knowledge.

Ruth Bourne

Ruth joined the Pocklington Dental team as a Receptionist in February 2023. She is a highly motivated, enthusiastic and friendly team member with extensive experience working with people in varying roles. Ruth is passionate about meeting and assisting patients and thrives on giving excellent service. Ruth is very family orientated and enjoys spending time with her family when she can. She also enjoys going for country walks with her dog, gardening, cooking and choral singing.

Katie has worked in childcare for the last 12 years. She joined us in November 2022 ready for her new adventure in the dentistry industry. Katie is enjoying learning new things as she progresses in her role and is thinking of progressing further into dentistry by becoming a dental nurse in the future. Katie is always happy to help where she can and is always smiling.

Starting at our Beverley Highgate Dental Practice, where she was provided with excellent support and training. Constantly gaining knowledge allows her to support the rest of the practice team and patients at Pocklington. One of the highlights of her job is getting to know our lovely patients.
